2023 Church Mission Projects

The church budget passed at the annual meeting in January included $4,000 to be used for missions. The Mission Committee has decided to allocate that money to two causes, David Lee's Romanian mission and to a closer-to-home project, the "warmer. safer. drier." campaign of the Appalachia Service Project.

David Lee's Romanian mission supports orphans by focusing on helping to get children adopted into Christian homes. The mission provides family and child counseling before and after the adoption process is complete. David's mission has recently joined with Orphanos, a fee-free donor management service for Christian missionaries caring for vulnerable children and families.

The "warmer. safer. drier." campaign of the Appalachia Service Project helps meet the needs of families in Appalachia. Many of these families live with very limited resources, and often have to make difficult decisions, like choosing between buying food or fixing a hole in their roof.

This program uses volunteers that help with home repair, and who also share hope with these families. The Mission's Committee would like to encourage church members to also make individual donations during the year to these two important causes. To donate to one or both of these missions, make a note on your check or offering envelope to direct your donation to the correct account.
