Mission Update

The Royers

The missions committee is trying to keep the congregation more informed on our two missionaries, The Royers and the Lees. This month we want to let you know what the Royers are up to. We recently received an updated prayer letter from them.

The Bible Institute that Andy is teaching at is merging with their other school in Jackson, Michigan. He will stay in Waukesha, Wisconsin and continue teaching. This will be his 6th year there. However, his class load will almost double. There is a picture of the entire senior class from this year on their back deck (63 of them). This coming year he is expecting to have 120 in that same class. That is just one course and he teaches 3 oth- er ones.

I asked them if they have plans to go back to Brazil. They would still like to go back but have decided it would be best to wait until both older sons are finished with high school, which will be in 4 years. At that stage, they will reevaluate, but they can see them- selves going back at some point. They presently are still called upon to help with the projects in Brazil and speak on occasion for that.

Miles (who is 16 or 17) is learning to drive and recently made and delivered 25 pies in order to earn money for a Christian leadership Conference he wanted to attend this summer.

Jackson (who is 15) had an opportunity to go fishing in Cali- fornia when they were on a family trip there and Andy was speaking for the mission. Jackson will be able to go to the Lead- ership camp as well this year.

Jude is now 11. At present, the family is writing a book, a study on character which they hope to discuss, study, and practice together in the next three years.

We have three specific prayer requests from the Royers:

1. Pray for quality missionary candidates to sign up for school.

2. Pray for sufficient wisdom for the tasks at hand.

3. Pray for grace to balance a full ministry and family life
